I Serve With Joy (ISWJ), in partnership with Healthy Blue of SC, recently organized a remarkable Community Baby Shower Drive-Thru on Tuesday, June 13th. The event aimed to provide essential items and community support to expectant and new mothers, resulting in an overwhelming response from nearly 248 moms and two dads, with over 500 attendees in total. Building on this success, ISWJ is delighted to announce a forthcoming pop-up baby shower at Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic on Sunday, July 9th, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Dads are warmly welcometo join the celebration. Attendees can enjoy free parking at the Mary St. Garage, where a shuttle service provided by Events by Empress will be available from 2:00 to 6:00 PM to transport guests to the hotel. The event promises a range of family-friendly activities, including a kids corner, games, miniature funnel cakes from Sisterz Stand, as well as exciting prizes and giveaways. To make this event a success, ISWJ encourages businesses to host a baby box for donation collections of new baby essential items such as diapers, wipes, and hygiene products at their location, and individuals can sponsor baby bags or offer their valuable time as volunteers. I Serve With Joy continually works to meet the community where the need is the greatest. We are a resource to organizations who can best respond to the ever-changing needs of their respective communities. Our grassroots Back 2 School Drive unites businesses, nonprofits and the general public to take action in equipping kids with the tools needed to excel for a successful school year. Supplies being collected include paper, pencils, erasers, folders, glue sticks, crayons, colored pencils, scissors and more.
I Serve with Joy is extremely excited to go full speed with our “Back 2 School Backpack drive” for the 2022/2023 school year. We’re working to provide hundreds of new backpacks and supplies for students in the Lowcountry and several other surrounding counties so they can return to school with confidence. There’s nothing like the feeling of being prepared and organized to help kids focus on school, and a new backpack is a fundamental part of that preparation.

I Serve With Joy (ISWJ) is a local 501c3 organization, created in 2016 to serve the homeless community, at-risk youth, and single-parent families in the greater Charleston area. Our programs center on increasing the impact of our REACH

We do this by collaborating with local organizations, businesses, and volunteers to lead community initiatives that directly serve people in need.
